Competition Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 4 August 2026
These Competition Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all promotional competitions conducted by Brands SA (“Brands SA”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), including but not limited to the Rugby Nations Championship Competition and the Hunting Trip Competition, unless otherwise stated.
By entering any Brands SA competition, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. Promoter
The promoter of these competitions is Brands SA.
Brands SA reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel any competition or these Terms and Conditions where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable South African law.
2. Eligibility
Unless otherwise stated:
Competitions are open to permanent residents and citizens of South Africa who are 18 years of age or older.
Employees of Brands SA, its directors, shareholders, suppliers, advertising agencies, sponsors, affiliates and their immediate family members may not enter.
Brands SA reserves the right to request proof of age, identity and residence before awarding any prize.
Failure to provide satisfactory proof may result in disqualification.
3. Acceptance of These Terms
By entering any competition conducted by Brands SA, participants agree to:
Accept these Terms and Conditions in full.
Comply with any competition-specific rules.
Accept that all decisions made by Brands SA regarding the competition are final.
No correspondence regarding the outcome of any competition will be entered into.
4. General Entry Rules
Only entries submitted through the official competition entry method will be accepted.
Brands SA reserves the right to reject any entry that is:
incomplete;
inaccurate;
duplicated;
fraudulent;
illegible;
generated by automated means; or
submitted outside the competition period.
Brands SA may verify the authenticity of every entry.
Any attempt to manipulate or interfere with the competition process may result in immediate disqualification.
5. Rugby Nations Championship Competition
Participants must complete the official online competition entry form and answer the competition questions.
Entries will be divided into two qualifying categories:
Category 1
Participants who correctly answer four (4) qualifying questions.
Category 2
Participants who correctly answer six (6) qualifying questions.
After the competition closes:
All valid Category 1 entries will be placed into a random draw.
All valid Category 2 entries will be placed into a separate random draw.
Providing the correct answers does not guarantee that a participant will win a prize.
Brands SA’s decision regarding the validation of answers and the draw process shall be final.
6. Hunting Trip Competition
The Hunting Trip Competition is conducted by Brands SA in collaboration with Afrii-Ex Hunting Safaris.
Competition Period
The competition opens on 1 June 2026 and closes at 23:59 (SAST) on 1 April 2027.
No entries received after the closing date will be accepted.
How to Earn Entries
Participants earn entries through qualifying purchases made during the promotional period.
For every:
R1,000 spent online, participants receive 2 competition entries.
R1,000 spent in-store, participants receive 5 competition entries.
Additional entries are awarded in multiples of R1,000 only.
Examples:
Spend R2,000 online = 4 entries.
Spend R3,000 in-store = 15 entries.
Spend R2,500 online = 4 entries.
Brands SA reserves the right to verify all qualifying purchases before allocating entries.
Qualifying Purchases
Only completed purchases successfully paid for during the competition period qualify.
Cancelled orders, refunded purchases, chargebacks, fraudulent transactions or reversed payments will automatically invalidate all entries associated with those purchases.
Brands SA may request proof of purchase, invoices, receipts or payment confirmation at any time.
Failure to provide satisfactory proof may result in disqualification.
Winner Selection
After the competition closes, all verified qualifying entries will be entered into a random draw.
The winner will be selected entirely by chance.
The more qualifying entries a participant earns, the greater their chances of winning; however, no purchase or number of entries guarantees a prize.
7. Winner Notification
Winners will be contacted using the contact details supplied during entry.
Brands SA will make reasonable efforts to contact winners.
Should a winner:
fail to respond within seven (7) days;
provide incorrect contact information;
fail verification;
refuse the prize; or
become ineligible,
Brands SA reserves the right to select another winner through a further random draw.
8. Prizes
Unless otherwise stated:
Prizes are not transferable.
Prizes may not be exchanged for cash.
Prizes may not be resold.
Prizes may not be substituted by the winner.
Brands SA reserves the right to substitute any advertised prize with another prize of equal or greater value should circumstances beyond its control require it.
9. Hunting Trip Prize Conditions
Where the prize consists of a hunting trip:
The winner and accompanying guests must comply with all safety rules and operational requirements of Afrii-Ex Hunting Safaris.
Winners may be required to sign an indemnity and acceptance agreement before claiming the prize.
Failure to comply with safety requirements or legal requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, the prize excludes:
transport to and from the venue;
personal expenses;
travel insurance;

10. Verification and Audit
Brands SA reserves the right to verify:
qualifying purchases;
invoices;

payment records;
customer information;
identity documents; and
any information required to determine eligibility.
Any participant found attempting to manipulate the competition or submit fraudulent claims may be disqualified.
11. Refunds and Cancelled Orders
If a qualifying purchase is refunded, cancelled, reversed or subject to a chargeback before the winner is drawn, all entries associated with that purchase will automatically be cancelled.
If such circumstances are discovered after a prize has been awarded, Brands SA reserves the right, where permitted by law, to withdraw the prize and conduct a new draw.
12. Fraud Prevention
Brands SA reserves the right to immediately disqualify any participant who:
submits false information;
tampers with the competition process;
attempts to manipulate entries;

Brands SA may take legal action where appropriate.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that participants may have under the Consumer Protection Act or any other applicable law.
16. Force Majeure
Brands SA shall not be liable where a competition cannot proceed due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, civil unrest, pandemics, supplier failures or technical issues.
Brands SA reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition where reasonably necessary.
17. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any dispute arising from these competitions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
18. General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
